Fin dai primissimi riconoscimenti assegnati dalle Associazioni dei critici americani il nome di Da’Vine Joy Randolph per The Holdovers è subito diventato una costante di questa categoria. In tal senso ha letteralmente dominato la Stagione dei Premi arrivando a conquistare ben 55 premi e dunque lasciando alle sue rivali solo “briciole”.
Le uniche che hanno provato a spodestarla sono 2 attrici che però non sono riuscite ad entrare nella cinquina: Rachel McAdams (Are you there God? It’s me, Margaret) e Julianne Moore (May December).
